The Women in Development Summit, hosted by Ideation Hub Africa, is a rallying point for women in Nigeria who work for social good and global development across the African continent. This thought-leadership Conference and Networking Event draws together the energetic ecosystem of women in NGOs, International Development Organizations, Foundations, Social Enterprises, Tech Start Ups, Civil Societies, Social Impact Investors and the Government.
We raise global issues in development, and the unique roles of women in envisioning and enabling prosperity for the African continent. We also explore the next big ideas and defining insights for women on leading change, building a sustainable social profit business, accessing opportunities and scaling impact.
The one-day event will feature Keynote Speeches, Panel Sessions, Mentorship Roundtable and Open Conversations as well as Networking. LightBulb Lessons: Each of our Guest Mentors spends first 10 minutes sharing what they consider to be the most powerful breakthrough lessons they’ve learnt as women building their enterprise.
We then spend the next segment in a no-holds-barred session with mentors providing responses to delegates’ questions including growing a career in Nigeria’s development space, creating an enterprise within a social venture, alternative fund-raising strategies asides donor funds, leveraging collaboration, connecting with opportunities for self-development and telling our impact stories etc.
